Philosophical and Engineering Foundations of Systems Biology

Building upon the successful Knowledge Management for Translational Research 2012 EISBM Workshop, this symposium in June 24th 2013 will discuss the philosophical and engineering foundations of systems biology. Leading scientists will share their vision and experience in the development of the conceptual and operational framework of systems biology to decipher the complexity of the organization and behavior of biological systems across multiple entangled spatial and time scales. They will also discuss their perspective for its application to medicine.
